Well it’s been a crazy couple of days with the opening of the Halloween Room. It’s been great to see everyone come in so excited and wanting to see EVERYTHING! And now I get to show you the results of all our hard work this year commonly known as the “Big Reveal” (if you like decorating shows). This year we have been able to post quite a few pictures on this website under Store Tour along with a beautiful video that tries to hit all the major highlights. I wanted to showcase the smaller details, some things that might get missed if you’re rushing through trying to grab the last skeleton mouse!
First, let’s go back in time. Remember this?
Here’s what it looks like now.
Then there was this area which now looks like this:
Here’s this room…
And now it looks something like this:

And for the last room that this was taken in:
Here’s what happened in there:

Whew! That was a marathon post! There’s just so much to see, it’s impossible to show everything. Pictures don’t do it justice, though, so if you’re in the area I strongly suggest coming by and checking it out for yourself! If there’s anything you’d like a closer look at, please let me know in the comments.
Sylvr, thank you so much for posting these most awesome pictures! For those of us who don’t live in South CA, we enjoy Rogers Gardens vicariously through your blog posts, pictures and videos! Well done this year! One of my favorite Halloween displays!
Absolutely fantastic! Best year ever! So creepy and elegant! Wish you had gotten a pic of the ventriloquist’s dumby high on the shelf, who follows you with his eyes…nightmarish. I’ll go back take pic and post. really excellent job peeps at Roger’s.
Absolutely wonderful!! Hats off to your staff for the creativity and hard work to pull all of this together. Wish i could visit today….Texas is a little far but one day.
Always a fantastic job! Simply the best!!!
Love your Halloween tent! Hoping I can visit next year, what are dates it remains open? Do you sell any Halloween items online?
Thank you very much Eleanor! We hope you will be able to visit us as well. We remain open through Halloween (October 31st.) At this time our Halloween items are for purchase in-store only.
I LOVE the shadow boxes and spinning Tarot. Any tips on how to build these at home?
Thanks, Crystal! The shadowboxes were silhouettes cut out of adhesive vinyl (contact paper) that were then stuck to light weight plexiglass panels. You can find royalty free clip art online and have it blown up to the size you need, trace it onto the vinyl and cut it out. They were then hung on monofilament with a fan behind that moved the plexi which caused the movement. The spinning tarot was made by glueing cards to a wire armature that was hung from a spinner like you would use for a disco ball. Find a heavy gauge wire to create a tornado shape, using monofilament to support the coils so they don’t hang too low. Hope that helps! Happy haunting!
I live in Michigan, but would like to buy some items for Halloween. How do I order items from you that you sell from various Halloween artists?
Thank you for your inquiry. We usually receive our artist pieces sometime in August. We don’t know what exciting things are coming our way until we unwrap them! If you would like to call our Collectables specialist Debi, you can contact her at any time, and talk to her about which artists you are looking for. She can be reached at 949.640.5800.
