Eric Cortina Biography

Eric Cortina’s position as Creative Director of Roger’s Gardens has been a perfect fit, since Christmas is a major part of our tradition and it also happens to be Eric’s favorite part of the year. His buying trips abroad gave him the opportunity to experience the wide spectrum of Christmas merchandise while searching for unique home décor items that would complement any home.

Eric Cortina has had a fascination with Christmas began at an early age. He would trim his room year round with Christmas decorations, which became his favorite toys. When Eric decided to create his own line of ornaments, his two-year search for someone to produce them ended with a family owned factory in Poland. This collaboration allowed Eric to translate his unique version of Christmas décor into a collection of ornaments filled with tradition and understated elegance, influenced by images and symbols of Christmas past.

Eric Cortina has designed several of these ornaments so they can stand alone on a tabletop or a mantle and they can easily be incorporated into a holiday display. Some can even be displayed all year round as part of a homes décor.

The first ornaments from the Eric Cortina Collection were released in 2003 and available exclusively at Roger’s Gardens both in-store and online. Eric continues to expand his collection in both style and selection. The Eric Cortina Collection has become highly collectable in a very short period of time.
