Ron-RencherBorn in St. George, UT, 1952.  Began painting at the age of twelve.  Earned a BA in art from Southern Utah University.  Post Graduate studies include Ned Jacob, Mark Daily, Dan Gerhartz.

Has been featured in: ART OF THE WEST, AMERICAN ARTIST, THE ARTIST’S MAGAZINE, SANTA FE MAGAZINE, PLEIN AIR MAGAZINE, AND WESTERN ART COLLECTOR.  Ron has been published in the following books: PAINTERS OF UTAH’S CANYONS AND DESERTS; ENCHANTED ISLE: A History of Plein Air Painting in Santa Catalina Island; ART HE NATIONAL PARKS: Historic Connections, Contemporary Interpretations.  Authored “A SYSTEM OF THREES” for THE ARTIST’S MAGAZINE.

Ron is an active instructor, conducting several plein air landscape classes each year at various locations.
