Seven years ago, The Ecology Center began Green Feast, a farm-to-table dinner that has garnered widespread support and attention for defining what “local food” truly means. This fall, they are taking it a step further with a new dinner series – Community Table. They are going beyond local sourcing to explore the full range of agricultural issues that affect our health and the environment and accessible solutions that can change our future.
The Ecology Center also taking it beyond the table with a book documenting the complete series and including farm tours, chef interviews, recipes, and more. Your support will help us to bring this necessary conversation and awareness to our wider community.
The Ecology Center invites you to join us in this next chapter of the sustainable food journey. In the first dinner in the series, chef Rich Mead and farmer Alex Weiser will introduce us to the concept of “full circle” farming. The multi-course meal will explore the life cycle of a special variety of heirloom wheat Alex grows and asks the question, what happens if we grew grains for flavor instead of shelf life and convenience?
Space is limited. Please RSVP by Sunday, October 11th. To make your reservation, click here.
