The Tango mandarin is a seedless or low-seeded selection of W. Murcott mandarin that ripens in winter to spring, typically February to April in Southern California. The fruit is medium-sized, deep orange, smooth-skinned, and very easy to peel with sweet, tangy, juicy, and delicious flesh. It is completely seedless, even in mixed plantings, and is a major variety grown in California since its release in 2006. The tree has excellent vertical growth and produces abundant crops.Ê
