Product Details

The Buddha's Hand citron, also known as Fingered citron, is a unique citrus cultivar prized for its fragrance and unusual, finger-like fruit, which lacks juicy pulp and seeds. It grows as a small evergreen tree or shrub, reaching about six feet tall. The fruit is mature and ready to harvest from November to January, though some fruit may appear year-round. It is generally seedless and propagated vegetatively from cuttings. The fruit has a potent lemony citrus fragrance and a sweet, aromatic rind. It is very cold-sensitive and cannot tolerate frost, thriving in almost completely frost-free locations. The fruit is primarily used for its fragrance, zest, and candied peel, and traditionally in Chinese medicine and for ornamental purposes.
