How to get your product
Thyme 'Silver Edge' (Thymus vulgaris 'Argenteus' or Thymus citriodorus 'Argenteus') is an attractive, variegated perennial herb featuring small, aromatic green leaves edged in silvery-white, creating a striking contrast. This evergreen variety forms a low, bushy or spreading mound, typically reaching 6–10 inches (15–25 cm) in height with a spread of 12–24 inches (30–60 cm). It produces delicate clusters of pale purple or lavender flowers in summer, adding ornamental appeal while releasing a classic thyme fragrance, sometimes with subtle lemon notes depending on the cultivar.
Hardy in USDA zones 4–9 (or 5–8 in some sources), 'Silver Edge' thyme thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating drought once established and making it ideal for rock gardens, borders, containers, or as a low groundcover between stepping stones. Culinary uses include seasoning poultry, soups, stews, vegetables, meats, and sauces with its flavorful leaves, fresh or dried; it also serves ornamental, pollinator-attracting, and aromatic purposes in herb gardens or as an edible landscape accent.
