Product Details

Lavender 'Spanish Primavera' (Lavandula stoechas 'Primavera', also known as 'Anouk Deluxe 1225') is a modern hybrid Spanish lavender cultivar prized for its exceptional heat tolerance and extended bloom period. This compact, evergreen subshrub forms tightly mounding plants 16–18 inches tall and 14–16 inches wide, with fragrant, silvery-green to gray-green foliage. It features showy, dark purple flower spikes topped with distinctive burgundy "flags" or bracts resembling rabbit ears or butterfly wings. Hardy in zones 7–9, it thrives in full sun, well-drained soil, and hot, dry conditions—often blooming from early spring through summer (and into fall/winter in milder southern climates), outperforming many Spanish lavenders in humidity and heat.

This ornamental lavender attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds while resisting deer and rabbits. Use fresh or dried flower spikes in aromatherapy, potpourri, sachets, floral arrangements, or wreaths for their strong, classic lavender fragrance. Infuse blooms into oils, vinegars, or syrups for culinary accents in desserts, teas, or herb blends (sparingly, as flavor is potent). Plant in borders, rock gardens, containers, or mass plantings for year-round structure and vibrant color; its long-lasting blooms make it ideal for low-maintenance, waterwise landscapes.
