How to get your product
The Thornless Mexican (Key) lime is a medium-sized, bushy evergreen tree with distinctive aromatic leaves. It's a thornless version of the Mexican Key lime. This fast-growing tree can reach 12-15 (semi-dwarfs about 1/2 to 2/3 that size) feet tall and 6-8 feet wide. It produces small, almost round limes with a thin, smooth, greenish-yellow rind at maturity. The fruit has a juicy, greenish-yellow flesh, which is seedy and highly acidic, with a fine texture. It is used for pies, margaritas, and as a garnish for drinks. While sensitive to cold (needs protection below 32¡F), it's suited for zones 10-11, like Southern California, and does well in full sun to partial shade. The heaviest fruit production is typically in October and November, but fruit can be picked almost any time of year.
