How to get your product
Garlic chives (Allium tuberosum), also known as Chinese chives or Chinese leek, are a hardy perennial herb in the onion family, native to Asia. This clump-forming plant features flat, strap-like, gray-green leaves that grow 10–20 inches tall, unlike the round hollow leaves of common chives. It produces showy clusters of small, star-shaped white flowers on tall stalks in late summer to fall, adding ornamental appeal to gardens while attracting pollinators.
The leaves and flowers offer a mild, subtle garlic flavor, making them versatile in cooking. They are commonly used fresh in salads, stir-fries, soups, egg dishes, and Asian recipes like Pad Thai, or as a garnish. In traditional Chinese medicine, garlic chives support digestion, boost immunity, and treat various ailments due to their nutrient-rich profile.
