How to get your product
The Cola Plant, scientifically known as Cola acuminata, is an evergreen tree native to the tropical rainforests of West Africa. It typically grows to a height of 40–60 feet, with a dense canopy of glossy, dark green leaves. Thriving in USDA hardiness zones 10–12, the Cola Plant prefers warm, humid climates with well-draining soil and consistent moisture. Its attractive foliage and ornamental growth make it a stunning addition to large gardens or tropical landscapes. The plant produces striking red or orange flowers, followed by kola nuts, which are culturally and economically significant in its native regions.
Cola nuts harvested from Cola acuminata are prized for their natural caffeine content and have historically been used in traditional medicine, social rituals, and as a flavoring in beverages. Beyond their cultural importance, the seeds serve as a natural stimulant and are sometimes incorporated into modern energy drinks and herbal remedies. Additionally, the Cola Plant contributes to biodiversity, providing food and shelter for various wildlife species. With its unique combination of aesthetic appeal and practical uses, the Cola Plant is both a decorative and functional treasure in tropical horticulture.
